Hi,

My name is Justin. I'm 21 years old diagnosed with an asd (PDDNOS).I also have bipolar disorder and epilpepsy.I'm from Pittsburgh, PA.I've been reading the posts for a couple days, it seems we have some pretty active lively discussions.

My story is as unfortunate as many of you have foretold. Was harassed, ostracised, and discriminated against all throughout school. Got beat up a couple of time too.

Right now I'm going to Pittsburgh Technical Institute for Computer Networking systems. I kind of like it, but originally got into it because my parents thought it would be a good idea to go into the IT field since I am real computer saavy, atleast more so than the average person. What I really want to do is psychology, I want to help out others on the specttrum since i have done in the past for a local university project. ( Carnegie Mellon University) I also volunteered at the inergrated preschool program I was in when I was real young. What I eventually want to do is run seminars making school faculty and administrators more aware of ASDs. I also want to teach strategies they can implement to better ways help them. Unforunately i need some credenitals to do that. What I might do is get a decent job when I'm done at PTI, and maybe go for my psych degree online. I know northcentral university has an online psych program going all the way to a doctorate.

wheew, aside from all that, things I enjoy are swimming, reading about my interests, moutain biking, going to the movies, concerts, partying with my cousins, and DRINKING

Welcome to the board. How's Pittsburgh? Are classes going OK?

Pittsburgh is alright. I'm doing alright classes, could be better though slacked off last quarter. This quarter my one instructor is being a jerk, but otherwise i like school.
