Hi, I'm Garret, I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome and PDD at a very early age, 3 years old maybe earlier, and discovered this forum via a wikipedia search on asperger's syndrome, to help explain my condition better to my girlfriend, who also has disabilities although probably not aspergers.

I love animals, especially cats and rodents, I love cars and driving and working on them. I recently graduated Universal Technical Institute's automotive program here in Massachusetts where I live, it definitely wasn't easy. I also love computers, built my first PC when I was 8 years old, I'm 23 now, been in programs/special classes most of my school career and have met a lot of other people with AS, I was so happy when I found this forum, most of the time I really do feel like an alien and joked about such as a kid, loved third rock from the sun and coneheads felt like they did for most of my life. I'm also pretty sure I have bipolar so I apologize in advance for any depressed rants in the future. Thats pretty much it, I hope to find many new friends on here who actually understand what I go through.

Hey Garret, welcome! So you're into cars? I don't know much about cars, except for my dad listens to Car Talk, so sometimes i hear what they say on there. Hope you have a good time here.

Hi, Garret.
I'm sure that you will find of plenty people around here who "get it."
Is your girlfriend around here somewhere? If she's not sure whether
she's an Aspie or not, this is a good place to figure it out.
