Hi, I am new to Wrong Planet. I am on other boards such as Aspie Hangout. I am a self-diagnosed Aspie, although my father told me that I was diagnosed as "borderline autistic" when I was about three years old. I went to a child psychologist for therapy between the ages of 3 and 7. I tended to engage mostly in solitary play. During school recesses, I would wander around by myself on the playground, repeating what the school principal would say during assemblies. I was bullied and picked on a lot when I was a child, not just because of my AS, but also because of the fact that I was overweight. During high school, I went from wandering around the playground to spending time in the library. My interests/obsessions are: the history of Communism and the Cold War, languages, politics, sports (Red Sox, Steelers, Univ. of Pittsburgh, University of Kentucky basketball), Jewish/Christian theology (yes, I am a born-again believer), the Arab-Israeli dispute, and the United Nations. I am right now employed as a technical writer. I am also married to an NT wife with three sons (7, 6, and 5). I am looking forward to getting to know some of the people on this board and developing good friendships. Please write back.
