I came here to meet real people with real respnses. Looking at the responses I receive to my topic I am wondering about the intelligence of some answers. Seriously, I have aspergers and we know how important it is to connect with people who respect us because how we've been (I have anyway) rejected by, who've shunned because of our 'weirdness'. I don't want more weirdness. I have alot to say here and deserve real responses, huh?

Hi pleiadian, welcome as you may also know we can be as varied and different on the autism spectrum, and there are many young people here still searching for answers. Being a typical aspie myself, I use to want to control the responses I received, but after a while realization that we are not all the same and should respect each others individuals views and maybe at least try and be supportive, there are many people here who are if you take the time to listen.

Every response you've received has been real. However, your definition of "real" may be somewhat skewed if you believe in such things as reincarnation, alien seedings, mystical energy infusions, and other such esoteric nonsense.

I have found varied responses to everything! Some people I don't agree with, some people are flaky, some people are my political opposite, and some people are just misinformed.

I also get supportive responses, empathic responses, responses that make me think, news that enlightens my mind, more information than I had before.

I get it all here. I take what I need and leave the rest.

BTW, intelligence isn't everything. I have a high IQ but I'd rather a person with mental retardation tell me they understand my stims or my obsessions than a high IQ person who just doesn't get it.

You have only made 5 posts, the site has so many people here, I think it would be hard to judge after only 5 posts, you are getting such a small sample of people responding to you. Also everybody functions on a different level, so what might sound stupid to you, might be a very intelligent answer from that person. If you only want people of a certain IQ to respond, then this isn't the place for you. If someone responds to me in a positive way, then I appreciate that they took the time to respond in the first place.

You want to connect with others who have shared your experience of being shunned for a weirdness you suggest we all share. Yet in seeking out said people on these boards you insist that you do not want more weirdness. How is this contradiction to be explained? If you truly seek a connection, make posts and be patient. You will in time be able to find those here whose experiences align closely with yours.

My personal opinion drawn from the tone of this post, though, is that you will never be satisfied with what you're given.

If you're referring to your post about cosmic things, then about half of those responses were from the resident group of atheism evangelists who generally hang around in the PPR (Politics, Philosophy, Religion) forum. You get to recognise the names after a while. You may even want to have a look in that forum and you will see the same names responding in the same way to pretty much everything. Moderators don't tend to venture into that forum.

If you enjoy the site generally, don't let it put you off.

So you want to connect with weird people... oh yeah, weird with quotation marks... "weird". Like not weird but weird also on some level.

Oooookay.

You attract responses that you elicit, on the whole. Trolls are banned from this place, so fake responses are unlikely... and if you don't feed a troll, it withers away and dies. Maybe your expectations about what is real (or should I say "real") are too high.

People? I kind of assume that everyone on here is a different race of alien life form.

....does that make me weird?

(funny part is I'm actually not joking )

Hello pleiadian. I welcome you to the WrongPlanet. I am a gifted intervention specialist at a high school, and trust me when I tell you that almost all of the people here are wonderful, sincere, honest and intelligent individuals (we are real people). Most of us, including myself, have Asperger's or some other autism spectrum difference (or know someone with autism)---NTs are welcome here too. I have never found a message board anywhere on the internet as wonderful as this one. When I feel down about myself, there are always members here to help me. I also try to help other members when they feel down. Please give this site a fair chance, and it will become a great friend to you.

Sometimes it takes time for people to answer. Different time-zones, different living patterns, different jobs or studies.... a lot of reasons it takes time to get an answer.

I also tend to look for things that are close to my own experience, to learn from it or to give an suitable answer. Maybe your interests are not shared by a lot of people here, but there are bound to be some, just wait.

In the past I have posted here some difficult questions and in my experience most answers were serious, maybe not the ones I sought, but definitely ones that got me thinking.

This is the fifth thread you have opened, and you have yet to acknowledge a single reply.
