Hey, I'm new here. I don't have Asperger's Syndrome. People consider me a High Functioning Autistic since I can function in the real world. I was told this site is strictly for people with Asperger's Syndrome. Am I allowed here or am I going to get booted from this forum right away for being Autistic?

I like the show 90210, if you are wondering why I made the subject Beverly Hills 90210.

When were you diagnosed with autism? This site is not just for aspies btw.

A really long time ago. I believe I was in the age range of 7 to maybe 9. My parents would know. I will have to ask them the next time I see them. I was in a special school and my class was a class for Autistic Children.

It used to be just for aspies, but it has gradually shifted to embrace all people on the spectrum. Welcome to Wrong planet!

When was the last time that you were evaluated? I'm just asking because most autistics and aspies progress throughout life.

I have my Psychiatrist who is also my Psychologist. I don't actually get evaluated, unless going to see him for my appointments is considered getting evaluated?

ShadesOfMe: So this site was intended for people with Asperger's? That would explain the selections for Diagnosis on my account page. I had to select Other autism spectrum disorder and it doesn't even capitalize Autism, but does capitalize Asperger's.

Asperger's is a proper noun, for Hans Asperger. Leo Kanner of Kanner's autism is capitalized, too cause it is a proper noun. Autism is capped when it is the first word in a sentance, but it is not a proper noun.
