I don't know why I didn't find wrongplanet until now but oh well the point is I found it.

I'll spare you a lot of the details because you understand and know what an Aspie is. I know I'm an Aspie and several people who know me well and have been professionals in the fields of special education and mental health say I'm an Aspie. Next week I find out when the testing is scheduled to get the official diagnosis.

I was a typical Aspie kid and was punished for my meltdowns. I always felt like I was from a different planet. I read about Asperger's about a year ago and felt like it really fit me but then again i can make just about everything fit if I really want to so I put it out of my mind. Then my best friend tells me the school is testing her son for Autism and that brought it up again. I just got insurance so now I can pursue the testing.

I look forward to getting to know everyone, this seems like a very active group.

Best of luck on the evaluation. Having just gone through it myself, I'm interested to hear how the process goes for you.

Hey Zeichner, with people all over the world on here I'm excited to see someone from Minneapolis respond to me. I'm about an hour and a half south of you in Mankato. I'll gladly share my diagnostic experience once it's over with. In the meantime would you mind sharing your experience with me.
