This seems to be obligatory.

I'm new here. Heard about WP a while back, but since things are getting more complicated, figured I ought to get some insights into my Asperger's. Something about a lady at church......

Anyways, hi.

Nobody should feel obligated to anything, especially not here.

Definitely not obligatory but appreciated by some of us "old-timers" here.

Welcome!

You concider yourself as an oldie already? You registered later than me and I still dont feel Im part of this forum yet. But you have more posts than me and also within a shorter period so I guess you have put yourself in well by now..

I saw another newbie that also registered this forum in march and he looks like he already have found a friend to have "internal talkings with". WoW! How do you do it??! ! If its about posting as much as possible within a short period then I can never follow it up. Im dead slow... but maybe its about feeling confident in your social skills. I have my social phobia, that explains my feelings probably....

It's not a competition.

I'm not extroverted in any sense of the word but being around other aspies has helped me be myself. I've been a member at another forum, nothing to do with AS, for almost 4 years, I even had it on my homepage, and I might have posted 40-50 times over that period. Here I don't care what anyone thinks, I just try to be myself.

Yeah I know its not a competition. I honestly try to avoid comparing myself with others. Most of us who enter this forum starts off here in the "Getting to know each other" topic. Then we walk off in the big forum with all interesting threads. There we go diffrent ways as we all find our individual topics of our own taste. Some of us tend to return everyday since we registered and for some its a one off thing to introduce themselves here and thats it.

I was also part of another forum in over four years. I was for longtime the most active user and I was a respected moderator there. But I could never share and be myself in a way I feel I can here!
