Hi, I'm Rob. I've never been diagnosed with Asperger's, but after all this time, it seems pretty clear-cut. I've spent most of my time trying to fit in with NTs--but they bore me after about 30 seconds (less if they mention sports). Although I'm not much for talking about sports, I'm a very active person. I ride my bike to work (I'm a cook) and back every day, practice yoga, and really love walking and traveling of any sort. Beyond that, I spend most of my time writing, programming, philosophizing, reading Murakami, and trying to learn languages with varying degrees of success. I'm a sucker for horror movies (gorror need not apply) and new music with a heavy bent for post-rock and indie bands.

Anyway, hi!

Welcome Rob!
And do you mean Haruki Murakami by any chance? Because I love his books. :D

Yep! I read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and fell in love with his writing. Then I got Kafka on the Shore as a present. Recently, I got stuck waiting for the bike shop to open, so I stopped by a local bookstore and picked up After Dark. I'm kinda in a lull for reading it, but I always read Murakami like this. The tension is built up so exquisitely that I'm overwhelmed and can't move forward for a while--but it's always worth it.

Welcome to WP! I am SO not interested in talking about sport either, but I'm not very fit like you sound (although I do like yoga). You sound like you're managing pretty well, but WrongPlanet is a very good place to talk about any issues you might have. :)
