I've been lurking for a bit and now I'm finally joining. My name's Cicely, I'm 16, and I'm a high school student from Oregon.

I found out almost a year ago that I have AS. I'm hoping to get an official diagnosis soon - as soon as my parents realize I'm not just "shy and quirky". I also have social anxiety, mild OCD, and (on a positive note) synesthesia.

I'm so glad I found this forum. I've never had the chance to talk to people who understand what I'm going through - this is exciting.

Synesthesia sounds soo cool, have you seen the documentary called The Boy With the Incredible Brain, or something like that?

Yeah, Daniel Tammet is amazing. He's pretty much my idol
