I kind of hate intros but I felt like I should post one. Um, I don't know. About me. My life is a train wreck. I have epic sleeping disorders which prevents me from figuring out all the other crap going on. What else, hmm I dunno, I guess I'll reveal it all in time if I post here regularly. I'm sort of ambivalent about the "aspie" label, honestly. I got a real Dx a long time ago, and I know it means something, but I've never been sure exactly what. I generally think it's a negative thing for me, personally. I hope that is an "ok" view to have here. I have found the label useful in learning things about myself, but I don't wear it like a badge of honor. It's basically see it as a tool to get by in a world and society that can be rather hostile to my brain physiology. Like any tool, it can be used smartly in the right situations, or over-used when it's grossly inappropriate.

That sounds like a good attitude to me!

I go back & forth from day to day, regarding how I feel about AS (sometimes, more than once in the course of a day.) Even the things that are positive/negative can change, depending on the situation. I think it's good to keep it all in perspective.
