Obviously I am new to here so let's start some introductions.

My name's Amanda. I am seventeen and I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was in fifth grade, which my mom to this day uses as an excuse for my "weirdness" as she calls it (I don't think I'm that odd but anyways...). I am a junior in high school, main academic interest being the arts. As for music, my favorite genres are Goth Rock, Gothic Metal, Deathrock, Post-Punk, etc. Sadly I am a Gaiafag (username is Alien Secks Fiend); however I am only there for the Metal forum in their message boards. Anything else, go ahead and ask.

Welcome.

I love metal, but I don't really follow it enough to know what specific genre names mean or anything. I just listen to what sounds good.

It's best you not try on picking up on subgenres. That sort of thing tends to make people pretentious as f**k. :?
