As one may have guessed I am new here, not sure if I belong, just a bit confused. I feel like I have always been socially awkward and simply hearing the phrase upsets me. I have trouble making and keeping friends, even though to me it seems I am doing nothing wrong. I often find that what I am saying makes very little sense and try to cover it up with the most obscure vocabulary as to sound as though I know what I am speaking of (as I am probably doing now).

Anywho, thanks for having me, seems like a very responsive and kind community.

Hi and welcome! To me you belong with us with the way you are feeling socially awkward, I can feel quite stressed when trying to "cover up" a conversation Im feeling uncomfortable with. I hope you find this forum useful and friendly to you!

I can relate to difficulties making and keeping friends. I can probably count on my fingers the number of true, honest-to-goodness friends I've had in my life - and most of them I've known since I was a kid.
