Hi...

I've been lurking here a few days and decided to join.

I've been seeing a psychologist for a few months and she thinks I may have Asperger's. I've been misdiagnosed before, so I was hesitant to believe it. But then I looked at the information on the web and found that it fits me well, even the strange little quirks that I could never overcome or ignore. I've tried looking for support groups in my area like she suggested, but everything seems to be geared toward children or parents of children and I'd probably feel out of place.

I'm a female 23-year-old software developer. I enjoy spending loads of time by myself. I'm in a really happy relationship. He's a non-religious childfree person, just like I am. YAY :D :D

That's it for now.

HI!! !! !! !! WELCOME! Sorry for the caps. I was just so happy that you joined. Also, everyone has to be nice to female software developers because they're so rare. j/k(except about the rare part)

So totally welcome yeah!

Hi, Fahreeq

Welcome to Wrongplanet. I hope you come to a fair conclusion that you do have AS. I also have considered developing software myself. I hope you enjoy your time posting here.

I hear you on the rare thing, too. When I was hired, I was the only female in my department. If only my end users would be nice to me..oh wait, that's never going to happen
