I posted a couple of weeks ago saying that I might be an Aspie, and that my eldest daughter is. Update: I am an Aspie, my husband is an Aspie, and our daughter is. We don't know about the second daughter yet.
Throughout all the reading I've done on AS in the last year or so since DD was diagnosed, I was shocked at how often I could see myself in the various typical Aspie traits. Eventually wondering just wasn't enough so DH and I both submitted ourselves for psychological testing. Turns out we both are. No wonder we work so well together! No wonder we don't understand people in general! No wonder people say we're in our own little world together!
So, here I am. This looks to be a rather active forum which is cool because my situation isn't covered in any of the stuff I've read thus far. Namely, that me and my husband both as Aspies (so much is geared for a couple where one is NT), and where the eldest child has AS, rather than the younger. So much sibling stuff assumes the NT is the older one. Not so in our household. (The younger one hasn't been tested yet, although I plan to. I suspect odds are in favour of her having AS, too)
So, um, hi! [waves]
