I am a newly diagnosed adult, did lots of reading before I went and it explained soooo much about me, wish they had had this diagnosis around when I was little it would have saved us all so much confusion and heart-ache. Too bad science doesn't always keep up with need! Am I one of the few out there that likes to give and recieve hugs?

When I was little I hugged everyone I could get my hands on, even strangers in the street, glad I had watchful parents, since then I have become discriminatory! As an adult I have only run into one other child like that, I was living overseas and sitting on the floor of a store looking at a bottom shelf when a little girl came over, probably no more than 3 if that and gave me a hug out of the blue. Her mother quickly came over and apologized, with a warm smile on my face I replied don't worry, it's a beautiful thing, but be watchful.
