pop ups of a cheating site

hello my name is Kimberly and I have concerns, my boyfriend and i have been toge4ther for 4 months now, and I just not too long ago bought this laptop off of him. He worked on it for me for a little while and now everythings ok on it accept one thing. I went through my history and found a cheating site login for affairs!! and he said it was just a pop up ok now I berlieve that but! there is also a preview of the site with comments on it about how good the site works how is this possible to get a pop up of a cheating site and a preview of it too? or is it its internet explorer by the way and its not blocking pop ups..... I need to know from an intelligent experienced maybe even a professional here.
