There are trolls on wp who are making visiting the chatroom very unpleasent. I got banned yesterday apparently, for speaking out against a particularly vicous one, who was shouting in capital letters and hurling insults unprovoked. When I did this apparently i was banned, and told in the chat that I was taking the mickey out of this troll for having a problem with words, as the troll was using SMS message type short writing instead of full words and leaving big spaces when typing, not so much a problem with words, but a problem with using them against people in wp. As wp users are probably aware of, this is not the first time a true troll has entered and done this. I used to find coming into the wp chat a very helpfull experience, but again, the minority ruin it for the majority. If I have done anything out of place in the chat it has been because I have felt the need to voice my feelings to particular chatters as to the way they are treating or impacting on others, and if this has been taken out of context I apologise.

No that isn't how it was at all. This person wasn't insulting anybody, just talking in a particular style you found offensive and proceded to slander him with chav scum/vermin. YOU are the troll, you even seem to be proud of getting banned. It would be nice if you would just - stop - it.

Actualluy that particular person was being offensive and was actually later removed from the chat by ops.

By the way, Id like to ask a question.

Why are we post morteming everything?

Its in the past, it happened, its over, now lets move on and get over it.

No more arguing about past events. Lets just start the day afresh and try again. Caus trying is the only thing we can do.

My thoughts are is most people in real life try to be polite to you when your face to
face. People who are polite to you in real life might via electronic text communication
hate you. Its the whole road rage thing. People in the confines of their car or in front of
their PC safely at home become much more likely to explode into negative things.
I tend to treat people online the same as in real life myself. And when I drove a car I never got anything like road rage I simply was in no hurry and cared less about other drivers as long as they did not crash into me.

I can't even speak when the conflict is openly aggressive, I have enough aggression in my own life and my own problems..

I love the chatroom generally however.

I agree with aliens and topher

It's supposed to be 'family friendly', but people there frequently use the 'f' word and talk about inappropriate things like sex, sexual fantasies and suicide. I know these things need to be addressed, but that is not the place.

It comes to something when members are being told they should commit suicide by other chatters, whilst mods ban me for telling the individual involved in this suggestion to "do one". This particular chatter as far as I know is still welcome in the wp chat room.
