Random/spam pm's?

Sorry I'm not sure where to post this
I've had a couple of spam pm's, I can't remember what the 1st one said exactly but it was someone who had "seen my profile" and thought I might be interested in a relationship
And another pm from someone else here today which I just deleted because looking at the subject I can tell it's not genuine.

Is there any way to prevent this? Or do you just keep deleting them? thanks

To be honest, I'm not too sure what you should do, but maybe someone in the WrongPlanet.net discussion forum might know? Sorry to hear you've been getting spam

What I did was put it in my signature that I had a bf (and I do) but that people were welcome to pm me. The random pm's asking for relationships stopped then.

Spam is not nice. I hope the spam stops soon for you.

I will have to try that idea out. Seek out PM's and the spams PM's stop, what a novel idea.

But to answer the OP's question. You should bring the user spamming you to the moderator's attention by going to this thread

How to get hold of a moderator

and posting in that thread or click on the username of moderator in the first post of that thread. They will get banned in no time. Hard to keep up with the spammers at times.
