When I try to post it boots me to my profile

At least 50% of the time, probably more, I have been booted to my profile when I try to post. It happens both when starting a new thread and when responding to an existing thread. Has only been happening today...help?

It started yesterday for me too. Still happening five minutes ago, and occurs in every forum I attempt to post in.

Yes, that was happening to me today.

Also, I am not able to stay logged on all the time like I used to, and when I get an email alerting me to a new post, I first have to sign in, then it takes me to my profile instead of the thread I want to read.

I have been experiencing this too. It actually started happening a couple days ago.

It's only a temporary fix, but if I copy what I want to post I can paste it in. Otherwise, there's not enough time to type a response and post before I'm locked out again!

It seems to have started to happen to all users a few days ago, me included. It seems that you are automatically logged out only ~5 minutes after you log in. Then when you try to post (when you are not logged in), you are automatically logged in without typing in the username and password and then taken to your profile page. So you are in again. When this happens, I just click the back button of the browser to go back to the thread, click the "Post Reply", paste the content of the post that I typed and copied earlier and submit the post. If I do it too slowly, then I get logged out again before being able to submit the post.

Instead of us having to do workarounds....what are the plans to fix it?

It's been happening to me too, for some weeks now. It's a relief to know that I'm not the only one, I was blaming my operating system (Windows XP) / browser (Firefox 38.0.1).

If I click a link in a Topic Reply Notification email, I get the login screen, even though I'm supposed to be permanently logged in. Sometimes after that I get a second, slightly different login screen. Once I've typed in my username and password, I usually get sent to my profile.

But if I just look at the title of the topic the notification is about, and browse there myself, I can post a reply without logging in, though often when I submit the post I get sent to my profile instead. Mostly pressing the back button and re-submitting does the trick, but I've lost posts that way.

It's a pain in the butt. Please, for god's sake, will somebody fix it?

I don't want to tempt fate, but suddenly it's all working fine again here.
