Issue: Need Previous Account's Posts Deleted
Years ago I was banned from this site, yet the posts remained.
But due to extenuating circumstances in my workplace, I need the posts REMOVED. So I request that a moderator deletes all my posts from that specific profile. (PM me for username)
This is a matter of losing my job, so serious in fact that it'll have life-altering consequences if they can't be removed.
How can you lose your job if your employer doesn't know your user name?
I used the same username as an ID at my job. I'm dreading the possibility my superiors stumble across it.
Sidenote: I work as an assistant in a special education classroom.

Did you make posts detailing how you did things at work that were violations of the law or serious violations of workplace conduct?

I love how your supposed care about my situation is just a front to get me fired for any "illegal conduct". You are not fooling anyone. To answer your question; no.
And your altruistic fixation on aiding the disabled is merely an attempt at promoting your sense of well-being.

To comment on the first part of your response, how do you even know if those are his true intentions (they most-likely & probably aren't). What does him "not fooling anyone" have to do with anything ? You don't need to be rude and jump to conclusions. He was clearly just asking you a question to better understand the situation a little bit more. The second part of your response was just straight-up disrespectful. Once again, jumping to conclusions. Do you even know him, on a personal level ? Because if not, then your personal statement (verbal attack) towards him shouldn't have even been made in the first place, because that just shows to others what type of person you are and the integrity associated with your character.

He asked whether my actions were serious violations of the law or workplace policy. Furthermore, I had stated myself to be an assistant teacher in a special education classroom(a class often including children diagnosed with autism).
True. Albeit inconsequential.
I see there's now a predictive value associated with my temperament. Seeing as my lacking of integrity is now an expected outcome, it'd be illogical of others to become offended by it. Certainly saves me the trouble.
I assumed the answer to the question was no. You're the one who made an incorrect assumption about my intentions. My point was that if you didn't write about doing something wrong, there wouldn't be any grounds for you getting fired.
Either way, we can't delete posts on Wrong Planet.

That is not true. At all. Most states are "at will" states. They can really use any grounds they deem appropriate for dismissal, provided they are not discriminatory. People who believe they must be doing something overtly wrong in order to be fired are working under false assumptions. (There are exceptions to this, contractual employment, union status, etc., but in general the employment relationship can be severed by either side at any time with or without reason).
All of us have done something "wrong" before, and I bet many of us have done something that if our current employers knew about, we may not have gotten our job. The difference here is that the mistake is in a publicly searchable forum that will never go away. Imagine the worst mistake you have ever made, or just something you find shameful or embarrassing being online for anyone to google search.
People should use great caution when posting anything on the net from an easily identifiable screen name. Whether they "should" or not, many companies google search candidates. I do not know this OP, but lets say that when he was 17, he made a bunch of insensitive posts that represented the mindset of a teenager and that he has since matured in his perceptions as a young adult. It may not matter to his employer that he was an idiot when he was 17. He could just be seen as an idiot. (OP, I am not saying you are an idiot. I have no idea who you are).
OP, if I were in your shoes, I would prepare for what I would say/do if this was discovered, so that you are ready if you are ever confronted. You could explain why your perspective changed, for example, or what was happening at the time that lead to your posts, and how that is no longer an issue for you, or just admit that what you said was stupid, that you are embarrassed, and that you would never say something like that today. It is possible they will never look. It is also possible that because it happened a few years ago, it will be far down on any search engine and they may not get to it if they did a cursory search.

Why would your posts get you fired? Are you worried they will fire you for having an ASD or how you live your life or did you make trollish posts and said stupid things? Also why would you use the same username at work as you do online?

Oh right, that was a possibility. Slipped my mind.
Deleting the posts may be impossible, but changing the username would be the next best thing. Have mercy on me.
Yes. My posts from years back pretty much shat on the rights of those with disabilities. Think of(for the sake of argument) some fat guy coming out of a bar saying "they just sissies". The level of ignorance is similarly embarrassing.
You're right, I could probably explain the situation, and still keep my job... But my job security is certain to weaken.
All. I am not kidding.
The username is not often used, so it simply slipped my mind when I set it up.
