"Captcha" feature broken, can't submit posts

After 15-18 attempts, I finally got my PM to work. It seems we are back to problematic coding.

I've just tried to reply to a PM, however, I received an error type of message that read:

YOU ARE BLOCKED FROM WRONG PLANET.
It contained a large red dot with an X in the center, and needless to say, my reply did not get submitted.

My reply did not contain a quote or any links and it consisted of merely, 2 sentences.

Edit: I logged out and logged back in, however, doing so, did not remedy the issue. I tried to reply using a different browser, as well, to no avail. _In case it is of help to know.

I hope I've posted this in the appropriate thread, btw.

I'm still being caught in infernal CAPTCHA loops, and not being able to post at all----at least, not in SOME forums; other forums, no problem, if I don't have any URLs / quotes in my posts, and the lines of text seems to be limited to 6 lines. In some forums, I can't even post ONE line----so strange..... And yet, the spammers be spammin'! ! This site is soooooo depressing, lately.

As I mentioned within EzraS's topic, beta-testing seems to have been skipped in this experiment.

can i ask all if your posts were on or about contentious subjects and were in debates at the time??
i suspect its the nasty #trollbot software this place is built with; integrating fake digital users amongst real ones.
and its aggendised too by the look of it,,, i got triangulated soon as i posted and goaded to see if i would react angrily...
a wall of trollbots descended and upon entirely reasonably defending amy postion?
was summarily pushed into a loop.
now i know soem autists have a problem with metaphor but to derided and attacked for sharing metaphors hat mifght have gone over somes heads to speak?
being attacked and targeted ?
is psychopathic not autistic..

Having some issues saving drafts - Captcha wipes progress, which is infuriating given that a) I've wasted a good deal of time, writing out a thorough response only to have it reset; and b) bots would never save drafts, so why on Earth is Captcha activated during this particular step?

Edit: Appears when attempting to preview as well (and also breaks the post). Could we perhaps fine-tune this feature so it only shows up for actions that are relevant to spam?

Since the edit function has expired on my last post, I've been receiving this error when attempting to do anything with a post after passing the Captcha:

Appears consistently, regardless of which computer I'm using, the network I'm on, or the number of times I hop through Captcha hoops. If anyone has a workaround, please let me know.

Saturday, Feb. 20:

it's actually kind of fun. It asks me what picture has a drink in it, but then it doesn't trust me!

Bounces me back to my attempted post. But then when I try again, it's back to reCAPTCHA.

what seemed to work was taking out the block of quote

This whole thing is enormously frustrating. about ready to drive me up a wall!
or putting it more poetically, about ready to drive me up a tree!

What seems to work for me sometimes, when that happens, is take out the block of quote, in order to bypass the CAPTCHA, post it, and then edit the post to add the quote back to it.

At it's worst, I was getting this too. What worked for me:

-Log out of WP
-Clear your cookies & browser cache
-Reboot
-Log back into WP

I did this on every computer I use, both windows & linux and in every case the problem has not returned. I now have NO Captcha problems. My hypothesis is that CloudFlare put in a fix, but until people clear the old settings or cached code that is stored locally on their machines, they'll still see the problem.

Yes, don't be discouraged if you get the CAPTCHA again when you submit the edit though. Edits normally go through the first time after completing a CAPTCHA, unlike when you make a new post and it brings you back to your editing page with your post erased.

And even though I prefer to use a library computer, I can still do this in a fashion by asking for a fresh log in and password for a guest.
