Threads can be just deleted?

So, apparently they're not if people regret creating them later on for privacy reasons or such... but if someone is offended they could, apparently? Not even just locked, or title changed if too much, but deleted, and with not even a note left? What, you thought you could delete it from my memory too? It was pages long too... what is this, a case of some random waking up from their long slumber to find something they dislike? And you reckon the many other replies from those 3 or so pages wouldn't notice this, either? I didn't even post beyond the initial one, so others may chip in if desired, but I think this was wholly inappropriate...

WHAT thread?  Who started it?  Who posted in it?  Did it really ever exist?

I believe this refers to “Why Are Conservatives So Obsessed with Putin’s Butthole”, which Kip deleted yesterday. It might have been preferable to lock the thread or edit the title, as you say. It did contain a sort of attack, or at least a negative generalisation, on a group of people for their political beliefs.

So, re-create it if you think it was done inappropriately. Is it 'butthole' that was so offensive? Not the fact that a citizen was murdered? And they voted for them after... like, literally, how else can one phrase it except as I did? Literally, Dawn was a sacrificial lamb for conservatives. People voted for a party funded by her murderers.

There is no way to put sugar on that!

I've rarely heard a thread being deleted,they usually just lock em'.

I'm glad to see the mods taking action about negative generalizations against groups.

Isn't the discussion of deleted threads one of those actions that is prohibited by The Rules?

And Amity, it's not a generalization, literally conservatives voted for the Conservative Party... couldn't be more straightforward than that... a party funded by Putin, see recent report.

I assume you intend to make people unable to identify whether you're serious or not.
