This is going to kill the forum, honestly. It's getting to the point now where I see moderators posting but not deleting spam topics and letting it get worse.

If there isn't a solution for it, I'm done with the website.

Same here. It's really gotten worse over the last couple of days or so. This is why I've said several times that new users should have all posts approved by a moderator, and that there's a period of time when they're not allowed to post new topics. Other forums do that, and they don't have nearly the same problem of spam this one does.

Some suggestions:

- Make it so that threads containing words like "vashikaran" or "baba ji" or phone numbers are not able to be created.
- Get a username policy for the site, and ban any accounts with usernames containing "baba ji" etc. (and give them the opportunity to appeal their ban by changing to a username that conforms to the policy, if they haven't spammed or trolled)

Yeah, the moderators need more help around here. The Spammers have become increasingly active lately for some reason.

How many moderators are actually active on this site?

I'm really starting to the think the number is very low. The spammers, the whole logout issue (and so on) never seem to get replies from moderators.

It's frustrating this just gets ignored by moderators.

The spamming issue is preposterous, I've never seen anything even remotely similar to this on any other site. Ever.

The moderators are obviously overwhelmed, I'm not surprised so many of them just run for the hills after a while. The administration of the site on the other hand managed somehow to get even more abysmal over the years and the re-vamping of the site seems to have broken the couple of things that were still (kind of) working.

Well done!

There's nothing moderators can do about regulating spam.

We don't have administrative powers.

Direct your complaints to Alex.

At the moment (and quite a few times in the last year) the mods fulfill the role of human retrospective spam filters, where is the motivation to keep doing these repetitive boring tasks?

 Pay them for piece work? :)

I wonder how many spam threads have been removed to the private forum?

That's the point, it's not their job to manually remove hundreds of spam threads. If this site has an admin he's not doing his job, driving both his moderators and membership half insane or away from the site. Obviously both categories are expandable here.

I sent Alex a message about the spammers issue a few days ago. So here's hoping he reads it and writes back or makes a post here about it..

I honestly feel he needs to get some admins here or something. The site is going to likely lose more members the more garbage that happens. The spammers, captcha issues, logout issues, etc can only be ignored so long.. before enough is enough in my view.

Ah yes, the eight lines of code to write a honeypot...and watch the spammer(s) disappear. God, if only there was an answer to our spam problems...
