Hmmm... Maybe The Walking Dead contributed to making it a trend word then.

Its possible. Popular TV show would have exposure. Although I truly suck at English (Spelling, Grammar, etc) I have always been interested in individual words and sayings and how they come about and if they last and so on.

Just an update, we're still in the process of setting up the upgrade. I'll have an exact date shortly.

Specifics can really help with communication and expectations, help everyone to be on the same page.
Thank you for this.

Unfortunately the company doing the migration will be the one that ultimately is in control of the exact date. I will let you know when they have that set. Sorry this is taking longer than I was told it would. I can only do my part and rely on others to do theirs as well

Have they given a reason for the delay?

Actually I think the joke is funny.

I wasn't getting at anyone, only not wanting to avoid some of the mud slinging I've seems elsewhere.

I was going to ask why there are banners saying (still, when clearly that's not reality) "update this week"; but apparently there's a reasonable explanation.
(Edited to remove play on words: 'alexplanation')

I totally understand the need to update, but I am never going to be able to use it if it is that bright. Can it not be toned down? Like a lot? Maybe a beige or other earth tone? Or even parchment? This is blinding to me.

Agreed, I think this would be a problem for a lot of people.

Also, the banner at the top of the page is gone now.

It's still there for me too. It pops up every now and then, last time just a few seconds ago.

I agree that this glare and brightness issues should have been thought about when designing this website. It should not have been up to us to correct this mistake. That all being said the workarounds listed below should not only improve your WP experience your overall computing experience if you are light sensitive.

Stylish

Your monitor should have brightness and contrast settings.

Have you heard the one about the aspie who loved uncertainty?

No? Neither has anyone else.

It doesn't need a radical change in colour. You'd be amazed at what difference even a few points change in RGB value can do. That's why I suggested if white is too glaring, even a pale grey that's only slightly off-white can ease things a little. I don't know if anyone notices but most of the white on the current site is actually pale grey.

I like the current softer color scheme too, it is unique. I'd prefer keeping it. Perhaps, adding a soft orange-brown to the blue and green colors currently used would be nice.

Also, I like lines. It may slow down the site but it's nice, nonetheless. I wonder how many people here like lines too.
