There's nothing stopping you from posting in there (other than anxiety, perhaps).

It's not about sexism, it's about providing resources to best serve the community. A women's subforum does that.

This is pretty much what I was going to say. Even if you fight for it, I doubt they'll remake a forum that was already deleted. Now watch as some of the men here flame me and call me a troll for expressing my opinion.

I'm NOT going to flame you or call you a troll but I would like to pint out that lots of people here think the ratio of Aspie men to Aspie women is about 50/50 so I do NOT agree with your statement.

So 4 times as many males vs females equals to 50/50? I'm no math expert but I don't think that's correct. :/

The diagnosed rate but lots of people here talk about how women tend to not get diagnosed with it even thou they probably have it.

Point taken. Still, I don't really see the point in arguing this. If we created another forum, the moderators will be spread out even thinner to make sure that the TOS are being upheld. Sure they are hiring more mods but we shouldn't be trying to make their job more difficult than it already is. :/

If it's that difficult for em; the women's section should be deleted but as I said before having a separate section might help keep the peace here

I doubt it. Just because woman-haters will have their own section doesn't mean they won't spew their hate in other forums. :/

Maybe us men should start posting in the women's section & start causing arugments with women on post labeled "For Women Only" because the women are doing that for post labeled "For Men Only". I'm TIRED of the sexism here

What would you argue with us about? Our periods? What stance could you hold on that? Besides a good amount of the threads there aren't labeled "for women only" anyway. Not to mention, posting just to start arguments is called "trolling" sir and is highly frowned upon here. If people wanna troll, they should go to 4chan. :/

The only reason that I posted in that thread was to offer comfort for the OP. I was trying to prove that women aren't all blood-sucking-man-hating-tarts. Apparently that message has yet to sink in with some of the people here. I don't get how simply disagreeing with someone of the opposite gender is automatically labeled "sexism." I didn't say that ALL men are women-haters so I don't see the issue here.

You are missing the point witch is that the women have a place to go to post about stuff without worrying men posting there yet us men do NOT have a place where we can post without worrying about women. I think the rezone your message did not sink in is because the OP clearly did NOT want women to respond to that post so it looked like you were not being respectful of it

What would you post about in there? I understand stuff about prostate health and such but I don't know what else they would post about that wouldn't be covered in L&D or Adult Autism Issues or any of the other forums. I can't help but feel that even though it would be made with honorable intentions, it would fall to the misogynist trolls and it'll be a moderator's nightmare in there. >.>

To be honest, I wouldn't have clicked on the topic if it didn't say "why it sucks to be male around here" implying that it's only women that make WP into a personal hell. :/

The reason the Women's discussion exists is for threads like "Has an evil NT ever taken advantage of you sexually?" Where women can feel safe to post their stories without a man coming in and saying, "Lol, you deserved it whore." To be honest, I think men criticize other men worse than women criticizing men. Seriously, look at any argument between ToadOfSteel and most of the other men in L&D. It's predominantly men ragging on him for holding women in a romantic image and lacking self esteem. :/

We could also post about sexual stuff like problems maintaining an erection or side effects from meds, going true puberty, shaving, acne issues ect ect. I find it completely hypocritical that women are against the idea of a men's section when they themselves have a women's section. I'm tired or arguing about this because the women will not understand. & I will NOT go in the women's section because I want to be respectful & let them have their own space even thou us men can not have our own

But if I recall correctly, OP was glad for what Erisad has said in her post. In spite of what OP had specified in the title, surely that counts for something?

In theory it makes sense that if women have their own section then men should also have their own section, but you know why the last time there was a men's section it didn't work out? Because like someone else has pointed out in the women's section, "man" is already the default gender--everything but the women's section belongs to you. Should the men's section be revived, I wouldn't be surprised if the people there once again ran out of topics to talk about other than "adults" and women-related issues.

Also:

I can live with nary a chance to do any weightlifting, but I'd like to know why "DIY, electronics and other useful information" is not considered a gender-neutral topic.

I will ask one question before I completely leave this thread
If there was a section here for men only but there was no section for women; would the women be upset about it :?:

By the way, I'm in favor. If all the women-bashing threads can at least be confined to a tiny corner of WP instead of all over the L&D section, I'm for it. :thumright:

Erisad, though you're not trolling here, I seem to recall you trolled on a thread that discussed evil NT women taking advantage of men with AS, which was posted on L&D. This is one of the main reasons why there should be a men's forum.

I did? I honestly don't remember that thread. I did a search on it and didn't find anything that I posted in. There was a similar thread made before I joined. Maybe I wasn't using the right search terms or that you are thinking of someone else. I will admit to posting a few comments that didn't paint men in a fair light but those were only when I was emotional or I was being ganged up on by several members. >.>

Erisad, don't take that comment to heart. you are a supportive and kind person on here, and i have not seen you misbehave in the slightest (unlike most others, in the heat of argument - including myself). your contributions are valuable, and i hope you do not think that there is anything you should change about your demeanour on here. don't get sidetracked by someone trying to undermine you with such claims.

edit: i notice that any time you unintentionally upset someone you are quick to apologize or explain yourself. that is admirable, and more than most of us do.
