I'd been a member of WP for over a year before I found out there were any adverts on the site, but then I've been using Firefox and Adblock for several years now.

On very rare occasions I use Microsoft's Internet Explorer and the Internet is awful - lots of adverts everywhere, flash pop ups, even some audio adverts! I don't know why anyone still uses Internet Explorer nowadays as their main browser. IE is also so damn slow - it doesn't help that it downloads all those graphics based adverts either which take more bandwidth than the pages I actually want to look at!

Adblock Plus, FTW, once again. Spitting out pills? 8O

What's kind of interesting is the way that both on-line and off-line "respectable" media seem to pretty much have a blackout regarding the whole topic of adblockers.

Yes, that one really needs to go ....

Alex, could you please let someone know that ad is driving some of us bug-nutty over here?

I never see any of those jumping kids, etc. The most motion I see in ads is maybe a little occasional slideshow action which doesn't bother me. I'm using the Camino browser.

Use firefox and download the adblock. It really cuts out these ads.

I like the bouncing boy and pill-spitting girl. Especially the bouncing boy.

I installed adblock plus, and enabled it and everything---and the annoying ads are still doing their thing. I appreciate the help though. I don't know what to do. I can't take these ads.

I'm using firefox and used the adblocker that the 2nd poster gave and I don't have any ads anymore.

oh, the bouncing boy was seriously irritating me.

The pill spitting girl was a weird ad. It look like someone shoved a bunch of pills in her mouth and she was projectile vomiting them across the screen. It did kind of look funny to me but since it was at the top I could scroll down and ignore it.

Those Zappos ads are creepy looking. It's like someone skinned a woman and made a muppet out of said skin.

I've started using AdBlock a couple months ago.
