Ahh, makes sense. Screw ethics, I can make money!

I can't really criticise that line of thought without being a massive hypocrite TBH, so I won't

the visually distracting ads are bad enough, but they don't bother me nearly as much as the ones that automatically play sound when the page loads. Some have a mute button, but it is a hassle to have to scroll down and click it. Others apparently don't have a mute button. Those ads are physically and psychologically painful to me. As much as I appreciate this website, those noisy ads put it on the edge of not being worth visiting. I have to mute my computer's speakers when on this web site, which limits my listening to anything else while browsing here or checking YouTube links in some posts. I also want to hunt down the makers of those ads and the makers of the products using those ads and do very, very bad things to them. That makes me feel bad about myself.

Myfuncards is a bad one with the drumming and weird sounds. There are others too.

I just did. I don't know yet how well it will work but thanks for the tip. I use Firefox and just installed Adblock Plus.

That's meant to be a good one. I use NoScript myself.

Enjoy your freedom from ads :P
