Sometimes the server is more like a waiter...

I keep getting that come up lately aswell. It's really annoying because it is so unexpected. At first I thought it was because I got banned for some reason.

Me too. I've gotten this crap for about a week. Sometimes it lets you on and other times I just find something better to do. :)

This "Website Offline, No Cached Version Available" started again with me at about 17:30 GMT on Saturday and I tried refreshing/loading other threads at various times up until 21:00, when I went and found something else to do.

About 30 minutes ago, checking that I still got the errors for any open page refresh or attempting to load another thread - even an old one which I thought might have been cached by now - I restarted the browser.
Oh look - the Cloudflare problem had apparently stopped ages ago, going by various thread update times.

Unimpressed.

Believe me I'm looking at this. We're all paying very close attention to this thread, and trying to find out what's going on.

Some of the times people are posting here there are server issues, other times there are not.

I don't think Cloudflare will go away any time soon, it's keeping quite a lot of load off the server, and alleviating a huge host of issues on our end. Having said that, the stuff going on here is equally unacceptable - so we're looking at the issue trying to figure out what exactly is going on.

Please continue posting specific details about when you're having issues with Cloudflare, as those details are the only way we can make any kind of progress on the issue at hand.

I have noticed it fairly frequently. It isn't too big of a deal sense I click the refresh button on the error and it is fine after that

Excellent, and thank you - that's very good to know.

In principle it sounds like a great idea and I can see how everyone should win as a result of it - but yes, there is definitely something nasty going on at the moment.
What puzzles me is that I've never been able to fetch a cached version of anything when the error appears. I've tried accessing very current threads, week-old threads and some dinosaurs - all have no no cached version available.

The browser restart "fix" is I think a recent development. Earlier "No Cached Version" errors would eventually return a valid page after a few page refreshes and things then carried on working normally.
I know the version of Firefox I'm running (3.6.17) isn't exactly the shiniest version available but apart from the odd CSS-related silliness on a very few pages, it's been problem-free - so I'm inclined to think this latest development is more Cloudflare than Mozilla.
One day I might actually complete migrating to a new installation on another drive which does use current versions, but, umm...

If restarting the browser is working perhaps it's a session cookie thing. Maybe try clearing just your session cookies and refreshing rather then restarting next time it happens?
Oh, quite possibly - but it's something which didn't happen previously and my configuration remains unchanged - so I tend to view it as a different facet of the original, more significant problem and not one which should have specific "micro-fixes" applied to the wrong end of the pipe. (although granted; it might still be of interest diagnostics-wise)

I discovered it by accident: I was intending to shut down for the night but thought I'd just have a shot at restarting the browser. If I really needed to stay on WP despite the Cloudflare error I might give it a go, although I won't clobber all session cookies: I'd rather hit only the one I need to hit.

25 WP cookies!? Only 11 here...

There are 4 cf-related ones, all "__cfduid".

What about those who do not enable cookies?

I do not have cookies enabled on my browser, so that cannot be the problem. I do not even have Java on the browser I am using.
