Damn, I was hoping thaqt was the answer. Oddly enough, after over a month with no emails, two got through today.

Yup, first thing I did. I'm not convinced it's a spam filter issue because I am subscribed to quite a few mailing lists and forums without problems. I've just raised my spam filter thresholds considerably, just in case.

I use gmail and it is fairly aggressive about marking e-mail as spam, even when it's e-mail I have repeatedly indicated is not spam, so at least worth asking.

The update works as long as I follow a thread.

Problem?
Whenever someone deletes a post Im no longer following a thread so I have to check every once in a while if its a thread im quite interested in

I just changed my settings to use my fastmail email address (which handles roughly 150 emails/day from various mailing lists and forums) and I am still not receiving notifications. I did receive the newsletter, which appears to have been sent through sendgrid.

For testing purposes I subscribed to a couple of very busy threads which so I know I should be receiving notifications. I am running out of ideas here.
