Yeah, i had the e-mail as well, but so what? It's just mere hacker wanting some attention to him/herself. This one isn't even a big deal at all like those i've seen/heard of.

well if it's the truth, it was his friend cris that was on his email address when the email was sent out. he just wanted me to clear this up. so note to whoever is tracking the hacker down, best track him through ip address, not s/n. just thought i'd help the kid out at least cause if he didn't do it, he shouldn't be blamed.

Changing passwords might not be an issue here, but "in general", I'm sure it would save everybody some trouble if they would follow MY advice! :D

** Coughs up two pennies **

=====================================================================================

A RECOMMENDATION OF MINE:

You should do what I have done:

++ Have 2 email accounts --

** one "permanent" address for friends and family that you trust...
** one "disposable" address for 'ALL other purposes" (Wrong Planet, mailing lists, online shopping, etc.)...

++ Choose good passwords --

** USE at least 6 characters in your password (******).
** DON'T use "dictionary words"! (skunk453, 568butter23, car_stereo32).
** USE both letters AND numbers (dgrfn2plywth95).
** Optionally, use BOTH lowercase and uppercase and/or special characters (btta$gd2Et4Dnr).

++ Disable OR Block the automatic viewing of remote images AND JavaScript (if possible) for ALL of your emails -- If the email is from someone who you absolutely trust, tell the program to view the images...

Image

++ Set your virus protection program to update its signature files automatically daily!

Why would anyone try to hack this site? What would they get out of it?

Well, they are probably some stupid NT who got wind of this site and decided to hack it so he could belittle us even more.

Of course, i'd like to see him try that once alex is through with upgrading the security system.

Like i said: El es muy estupido. El es muchos grande idiota.

PS: Alex, did you know that your name is an anagram of Axel? That practially makes you a member of the Organization...
