If "traffic" means page views then it could be explained by more people reading, but fewer people posting.

Perhaps where some members normally post doesn't seem as active as they used to be. WrongPlanet itself does seem to have a heap load of forums here?. (might seem irrelevant),

lots of users may create an account and post a few times (if at all) and are never seen again. of about 50 users that register, only an handful of those actually stay and post and integrate into the community, it could be that the number of users increases but the rate of those that stay is the same?

I remember when there were still ninja posts. Wow, it's already been three and a half years for me.

I remember when we had less than 50,000 members and that the site would actually count how many members there were because it was awesome, then they changed it to that new thing because people were so active here.

I think we'll be at 90,000 soon.

I handle social media for a few web pages.

This site really HATES Google Chrome on the mobile. I can't even directly comment on a thread in the response box. I have to go into Gmail, write, then cut and paste into the response box.

Dolphin and Opera aren't much better.

That is ridiculous if you want an active forum.

Traffic is people clicking on pages. I have sent probably 30 people over to this site, by word of mouth. I think one actively comments here and there. Most complain about the buggy response box on the mobile. The bulk are clicking on stickies, like the parent page or the work/employment page.

I bet the bulk of the people sign up, look around and keep WP as a reference page.

Believe me, click through traffic writes the checks, but doesn't make for a very active forum.

i still get ninja'ed sometimes.
