Yes, it is horrific.

I made a post in General Autism Discussion about this, there is a program called f.lux that makes your computer screen have an orange tint, and it helps me a lot with the white screens.

If you find someone familiar enough with CSS, there are browser plugins that can replace the stylesheet of a site with a custom one when you visit it. Some people could use that to give the site a darker theme and then share instructions on using it with others.

^that sounds very neato. thanks.

i also noticed for a short while that the age of everybody was visible. however pedestrian that arbitrary number may seem to you, there are some of us that would have liked to keep it well hidden nonetheless.

i'm very glad that was seemingly resolved but for some the damage has been done.

I hope the approval bug will be fixed soon.

Some threads seem to be lost.

Topic reply notification didn't work earlier today, but now they appear to do.

I love how big my avatar is now! :D
It's really good for those of us who recognize people by avatar first.

When I browse forums now I see that some names are in bold, others aren't. Why is that? For instance in In-depth adult life elkclan and ZenDen are in bold, while Izzeme and auntblabby aren't.

And the foe option doesn't appear to be working right.

It works. That is a start. So does editing and quotes and preview. Yippee.
As with any new software I am sure there will be bugs. I will only be concerned if a month from now there are still numerous bugs or I get the same errors that made no sense that I got in Wrong Planet 1.0.

All my old posts are there, but not my old pm's

I'm also wondering if the custom titles will return. They were nice and added a personal touch.

Looks a bit different but it's a start. I actually got quite used to the old green and blue scheme.

Hang on. Why does my avatar now look big and ugly, it's all pixelated.

No approval problems for me. I'll need a new color for my text, though, white will now be completely invisible.

I actually like the brighter new layout. The site also seems more responsive, less laggy, good job!

Some low-resolution avatars indeed look pixelated. Maybe the standard avatar library could be updated with higher resolution graphics? Or maybe there is a default "stretch" option that could be turned off?

One thing that did not work for me in the final days of the old site, was topic reply notification. I had hoped that this issue would be fixed in the new setup, but I still don't get notifications, although I have switched this on in my profile. Is anyone else having the same issue? Could it be fixed?

Alex should have taken my advice with the subtle grey.

I have gotten some today, but not most of them, and that problem seems to be continuing so far.

I didn't have that problem on old WP, so that's annoying.

This layout is BLINDING. So... much... white...

Some of the old functionality is gone too. When I view my posts, I can't jump to the latest post in a thread that's not mine, and the quick reply box seems to be gone too. Also, some sort of automatic scaling is being applied to user avatars making a lot of them look blurry. All of the UI elements being so massive is kind of a nuisance as well.

I understand the need to adapt to mobile browsers and such, but for desktop user agents, there should at least be a separate layout better acommodated for it, with smaller UI elements, darker colors, and better use of screen space. I really, really, really don't like having everything in a narrow column. I have a widescreen monitor, and I feel like a lot of space is being wasted.

Quoted text is too small. I've zoomed in to be able to read it, but obviously that's not ideal.

The old site had recent posts on the home page.

The new site has active threads. I've always thought that was needed.

However now there is only active threads. Why can't there be both?

When you entered the forum section in the old layout you could see the topics titles in each section. Now it's just "Latest post by" - why is that?

And is there still a time limit to being able to edit your posts? Or can you edit your posts indefinitely?
