Exactly. I think my problem is different, since I type in a comment, it takes me to the captcha and then does the exact same thing once I've clicked submit again on my post. Is that the same issue that everybody is facing or slightly different?

Actually, I'm not having the Captcha error anymore, but I am finding myself stuck in loop when trying to post in some threads while others I can post in with no trouble, as well. I keep getting taken back to the "post a reply" page after entering the Captcha code and hitting submit; I've tried copying and pasting my post and it just keeps taking me back to the "post a reply" page after submitting so I just give up. It's very frustrating. The site just seems full of bugs lately.

Yes, that's the exact problem I'm having right now. I seriously hope they deal with it soon.

Same here... and it doesn't seem to matter that the attempted post was relatively short.

I've tried several times this morning to save a post as a draft, as the CAPTCHA wouldn't allow me to send it. But it prevented me from making a draft as well.

Yep, I just tried 27X to make a post----paste, CAPTCHA, return to empty reply box, paste, CAPTCHA, return to empty reply box..... 8 lines in my post, NO quotes, NO URLs, NUTHIN'.....

I've posted in other threads, earlier this week, using a quote, completed a CAPTCHA, NO problem!!

I echo what others have said: spammers being able to post, and I'M NOT, stinks!!

It might have been a fluke, but I just was required to use the image Captcha to post a topic reply ... and, it WORKED in one try! YAY! :D

I just managed to submit a post with a quote in it after two Captchas. I'm pretty happy about that.

I had an amazing Captcha day; not a single problem! Even when it had to go through the infernal system, all I had to do was click the, "I am not a robot" box and my comment went happily on it's way!

However, any time I tried to post in the General or Random forums asking if anyone else had the same experience, (ie I was starting a new thread) I got this:

Website under maintenance
You --- don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.

The captcha seems to be aggressively targeting PMs with links in them.

More than a little frustrating, if you are trying to moderate and need to show members the post or topic that was reported... :(

These new captchas about selecting images do even better their job of wasting human posters' time, especially if they have slow connections.

It's especially true when you have vision problems that make it difficult to tell candy from brightly-colored balloons. The address numbers were easier.

I can post okay, but I do get these checks all the time when I come to post something. I scanned my computer with my antivirus and it's coming clean, so I don't think it's anything on my end.

UPDATE: I disabled my ad-blocker, and that sorta helps.

Not to mention that here on WP (for some of us anyway) questions like, "which images show trees" takes on a different meaning. Do they mean the shape of a tree? Logical tree, like something that branches? Not to mention that in one landscape there were blobs in the far distance that experience has taught me are indeed oak trees, despite there being none in the foreground. And don't get me started with the one that said, "which images are meals" or some such because to an herbivore, grass *is* a meal!

(and no, I'm not being sarcastic or facetious)

I got one about rivers, with a photo which, as far as I know, could be of a river just as well as an ocean.

Yes!! Exactly! I went on a tangent about this (aloud to my cat 8) ) earlier! I'll take the old system over this picture one any day. It's driving me up a tree (but is it within the scenery, or is it just a glimpse of a few branches? We may never know  ).

CAPTCHA is now preventing me from quoting anyone else in the thread I'm replying to. What's worse is that when my post does go through, my quote tags are messed up like what happened here:

http://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=305187&start=15#p6982038

Can someone fix this, please?
