I spend all of Winter looking forward to Spring, and when it turns out like this, I feel ripped off! All that waiting for nothing! I also overfed my strawberry plants and now they are like trees!

on ebay, more pedestrian things have made a mint for their sellers, so you probably have a chance in that way. :wtg:

Are the strawberries themselves bigger than usual? Take a look if any of them resemble Trump faces or hairstyles on them 'coz then you can do what Auntblabby suggests and sell on Ebay... (but it would be hard to imagine a strawberry with a big orange mould on top...) :jester:

Glad you're doing OK. There haven't been many reports to deal with lately so WP has become rather more congenial since the election's over.

Hi envirozentinel :) Yes, the strawberries are large, though there are fewer of them as the excessive food has encouraged leaf and stem growth (too much nitrogen) rather than fruit. They need some potassium to encourage more flowers and balance things out a bit, and if any fruit look like Trump, I will do the decent thing and send it to Jacoby

What a good idea!

Enjoy your garden - it's always a privilege to have one when so many urbanites don't have any such thing. A friend of mine near Durban has a wonderful piece of land up in the hills where she's started an organic herb nursery. The area is appropriately named Peacevale. The resident dogs roam the countryside freely and they also have hens and a goat.
