One forum I was on used happy type faces. At 1000 you got a yellow one. Green at 2500. And what looked like a happy face on crack at 5000, which you could customize. At 10,000 you got the crackhead face with a top hat.

Bearing in mind that many people here seem to have an interest in dinosaurs, a ranking index based on those might be interesting.

It could start with 'Microraptor' for 1-10 posts, and go up to 'Tyrannosaurus Rex' at 100,000.

The site's administrator could be the Plankosaurus.
