Extending the label "Nazi" to people who are not professed to be actual Nazis with the intent of accusing them as such is fairly commonplace now. I think it's part of a larger issue that wasn't as prevalent even a decade ago; an issue where a person labels someone else who doesn't think the way they do as a "Nazi" or "evil", etc. It's a self-righteous foible of intolerance by people who profess to be tolerant.
Like, if a Trump supporter
echos TRUMP ...
"BUILD THAT WALL",
"KEEP PEOPLE FROM s**thole COUNTRIES OUT"
"DEPORT ILLEGALS"
"THEY SEND US RAPISTS and MURDERERS"
This will likely be deemed racist, and NAZI(ish).
