Just a thought. Since the owner of WP, clearly no longer has any interest in running or maintaining the site. It seems his partner bailed out on him at some point and left him stuck with it.

Isn't there any geeky type autistic person around here who has the time and some knowledge of phpBB forum software, who could build a new alternative site?

Maybe you could even make a little bit of money from the ads. :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink:

^ Pfft! Is that all you've got to offer. I use it as an exercise to string together as many offensive four letter words I can think of. As you say it doesn't stop the captchas but it makes me feel a little better.

Well, if I may, my forum is available for those members seeking an alternative from the CAPTCHA disruptions here until it gets fixed; it is a pretty quiet place though.

Apart from the one incident I had earlier today when responding to a quote, I'm still free of any issues on here for some reason.

Maybe the CAPTCHA AI developed sentience and don't want TallyMan doing their job, that's why they're picking on him so much :lol: And after all, if spammers are a subset of WP users, isn't it doing it's mission by just driving everyone away? It even has a grand plan: the day WP dies it will no longer be an attractive target for them, and the spamming problem will be solved once and for all.

Once again for everyones knowledge. SPAMers can and have easily defeated CAPTCHA. The real reason for CAPTCHA is not security. It is to get free labor to digitalize books. If you don't want to help them and encourage this type of thing, I suggest you learn to recognize CAPTCHA. CAPTCHA is the wavy hard to read word. This is the word that you must type correctly. The other word that looks like it was scanned is the word that they want you to translate for them. I suggest that you type that word wrong. That should make their translations unreliable, and hopefully eventually put a stop to this nonsense.

a) Not all of them. Do more research.
b) The cloudflare page does a lot more than just present a captcha challenge.

As soon as I got here this morning I noticed several spammers accounts awaiting deletion. NO - NOT WITHOUT ENTERING A CAPTCHA TO DELETE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM!

To hell with it. I've left most of the spammer's accounts.

If I get yet another effing captcha to make this post I'm out of here for the rest of the day. I'm not putting up with this s**t...

Perhaps you'll feel differently when you click "Preview", fill in the CAPTCHA, and have a post that took you half an hour to create deleted by a site error. I've already lost two rather sizeable posts to errors related to the CloudFlare page. :evil:
