less contention and more peace.

There don't appear to be that many posters in PPR to begin with, and I'm not sure that "less contention and more peace" would benefit WP, at least in terms of increasing membership or the number of posting members.

I have heard discussion elsewhere as to there being people repelled by the contention on WP.

If memory serves, L&D seems to be the section that has the most contention, and I have no reference points to discuss that.

PPR openly has different rules than the rest of the forum, and people want to debate, or read debates. Even if the Admin created new forums, people would still want a place to fulfill that function. Joining dozens of other websites in offering a place for (insert viewpoint) might not be the most effective use of WP's resources.

Admittedly, my own view is that WP would be better off if PPR was busier and attracted more active posters.

I guess the world could be divided into two camps- contention lovers and conflict avoiders.

well maybe if there was some wrongplanet music, or if they had games online on wrongplanet , and if they had games online what type of games would people like to play online , if wrongplanet also had some games online? I was thinking perhaps games on the website?

Perhaps if there were some games on the website. If there was games what kind of games would people like to play? give some clue please?

I myself am not a gamer. I have asked in the past if there were any Aspie-themed gaming groups (guilds, factions, etc.), but no one seemed aware of any.

I'm wondering if you can set up some sort of interactive game that different members can use at the same time, but I'm not tech-savvy enough to know one way or the other.

3. Text-based, Play-by-PM RPG forums, 2 per game. One for in-game descriptions, and the other for spectator discussions of that game.

4. Job Postings / Employment Wanted forums (submissions posted by mods only).

The ability to "like" a comment/post and the user receives a notification when someone likes their comment.

Googling "free smileys" gets more than it's healthy to know about...
Many of those sites provide ready-formatted BBCode to simply copy/paste into a post as required.

The ability to like people's comments would make some other people's comments unnecessary. It's also nice to have notifications when you come to a place like wrongplanet too as many people use this more than they use Facebook.

I also just tryed to google free smileys and they won't work here.
