Any interesting interpretations of your own dreams? My mom told me that water represents emotions and during a tough time I had a lot of dreams of floods and drowning. I also had the dreams of failed car breaks and falling off buildings. You know, the typical, right? Recently my dreams are fairly tame.

Not really. My dreams are fairly obvious (although Freud would argue that there must be an underlying wish fulfillment somewhere).

I tend to have very vivid dreams. I have lots of nightmares but a few months ago I had this long dream that could’ve been a movie romance about a couple of old friends who finally end up together. It was so sweet. Probably the best dream I ever had.

Wish fulfillment? Possibly.

The best dreams I have are of huge stores selling hundreds of different toys and stuff for my pet rats. It's also a daydream as well.

I like rats. They’re cute.

I wonder why people are afraid of them.

It's the stigma. People think all rats are diseased - when clearly they are not, even some wild rats aren't diseased. Also people fear their tails.
It's annoying because in any pet store I go in they have very little choice of toys and playthings for rats, and I assume the common fear people have of rats makes them very uncommon pets. :(

Rats and fleas carried the Plague.

And even medieval people knew that.

Yes! I remember reading that because cats were associated with witchcraft they were considered evil and nearly wiped out in medieval times, and that led to the uncontrolled reproduction of rats and vermin. Rats spread the plague worldwide by infesting ships. Hard times indeed. I will respect rat lovers and keep my opinion of rats to myself :D

I don’t like dirty rats that are in dirty people’s houses, but I think the nice, clean rats one sees at a pet store are pretty cute. You can teach them tricks, too. I just wish they lived longer.

I haven't failed to notice how quiet WP has become again. I'm more surprised at the computers and technology subforum because a lot of Aspies have an interest in that kind of thing, yet people hardly post there any more. I posted a topic there and it stayed at the top for about 5 or 6 days.
I'm not asking people to reply to my posts, as nobody is obliged to. I just wish WP had more active members so that the site is more interesting. Some new members start with a thread saying "do I have autism?" or "I am having my assessment today" and then never come back.
And the most active threads seem to be Marknis's threads, which have often ended up getting locked in the past.

I can spend lots of time on WP still.

Then again I'm good at doing nothing.

I find those boring, especially American politics (no offense).

I just joined this forum, and have noticed that it is fairly.inactive. I am not sure why, but I will stick around for a little while longer. I am open to making new acquaintances or friends here,

It’s pretty active here.

How do you feel about people who disdain autistic folks?

Hey Kortie, I still don't understand why non-ASD people would come here and put down ASD'ers.
