STOP PICKING ON PEOPLE WITH DYSLEXIA!
I would do that i dont care what response i get back i dont let people walk all over me and never will,
Indeed. But if the person is unaware of your
difficulty, they might (as I would) assume that you
are simply disrespecting the forum as a whole. Now,
this doesn't mean s**t, in the end, but you will draw some
abuse from the membership (as we were told to police ourselves)
about such things. Again, no big deal. But, readable is always the
safer choice.
Yes but people with dyslexia are doing their best. If they still make some mistakes, it's up to the other people to be tolerant and not make them feel bad by criticising them for something they cannot help.

Disrespecting the forum because maybe a person cant spell or use the correct punctuation if thats what people think then its obviously there problem i dont think i'd pm a mod/alex onlyway its childish and would rather deal with it myself,
Just to "prove a point", try reading these three paragraphs, one at a time. Highlight them to see what is in them.

I do not mind the odd spelling mistake, the odd punctuation mistake. I baulk when presented with word salad. I do not accept the idea of "I might make a mistake with punctuation, so I'll just leave it all out".
The writer writes their message ONCE. Maybe a hundred people read it. If the writer puts in effort, a much larger percentage of those readers will read the WHOLE message and, more to the point, UNDERSTAND what the writer means. Even better, the writer may receive a useful response!
Girl7000, I took the link you gave at the start of this thread. I started to read unknown7074's post.
I think I divined what "Heather is at the age of 15, the same has me." was intending to say. I was confused by the contradiction in "A long time ago about 7 months ago ...". I was distracted by "collage" instead of "college". I was irritated by "i" instead of "I". I still cannot decipher what "But i was having troubles with her using my emotions, and i let her." is trying to convey.
This means that I stopped reading his post after four lines of its total of eight-nine lines.
I have now gone back, and forced myself to read all 89 lines. It was hard work. I can imagine I am one of the few people to read the whole thing. And this is the edited version.
The point of posting is to get people to read (and understand) what you have posted.
It is good that unknown7074 was told that he should try harder. It is good that he went back and edited. He'll know in future to spend a little more time "refining" a post. I think he took the initial criticism in the spirit it was offered. It may have been a little blunt, but this is WP, after all.
I'm sorry, girl7000, but I think your (rather NT?) reaction was what was out of order.
Here I am, fairly newly aware of my aspieness, trying to get people to tell me when I'm out of line. Along you come, telling those same people not to criticise me.

But, what's especially enheartening was that the OP
seemed to understand that there was a difficulty, and
DID make a reasonable attempt to make the writing
more readable - this with little or no complaint. As opposed
to whomever has jumped on here, trying to suggest that
this whole forum should be a haven of unreadable masses
of text. Look, we ALL have our problems. As long as we try and
be civil, i.e. not flaming one another, I really don't see a problem
with letting someone know that their posts are unreadable.

I think COMET raised a valid point - he is trying his best and he deserves to be given courtesy and not ridicule for any mistakes: ditto with others in a similar situation.

I think that I understand this.
But, and I'm NOT advocating
ridicule, getting 30 or so PMs
seems like it would be a far worse
solution than a few members noting
that it is unreadable.
Oh, and off topic a bit, I don't think
I've ever had ANY difficulty with
COMET'S posts, so obviously his
efforts are pretty successful.
I'm still not suggesting that you don't tell people if their posts are unreadable but politeness doesn't cost anything. For instance, if someone posted 48 lines of script with no break, you could say "X, I'm finding this very hard to read - would you please break it up into small paragraphs of say 4-6 lines each".

entertaining? Look, I'm not going to
rake people over the fire, but I'm also
not going to post like some sort of PC
moron either.

Hell, I didn't mean to imply that those who
use PC are actually below average IQ. This
is something which we use, over in the states,
called an expression of speech. If there's some
other word, like f**ktard, that you'd find less
offensive, to both you and the PC people of
the world, I'm sure that you should start insisting
that I use it, as more descriptive.
