I'M NOT INTERESTED IN THE YOUR NEED TO CONTROL AND DOMINATE THE FORUM. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR PUERILE NEED TO ACT OUT AGAINST ADULTS.

You sure appear to be, you keep responding. ;)

I'm not interested in "dominating" this forum. I am interested in calling people on attacking others merely because they don't conform to some preconceived notion of what is and isn't "right." I'm sorry if you have a problem with that. :(

As for you being an adult, you sure seem to want to wave that title around a great deal. That doesn't seem like a very adult thing to do, trying to establish seniority based solely upon age, or claimed maturity. Maybe I'm mistaken. :D

I am an adult, last time I checked, and according to the law, and according to others. I also don't have a problem with most of the adults here. Believe what you will, you seem to do that frequently.

Right, because anyone who disagrees with you is anti-social.

Or were you just posting that for our benefit?

Sorry, but you aren't going to manage to make people back down by badmouthing, name-calling, and other related behavior.

Make what claims you will. You can't seem to do anything other than attack others. How you could possibly believe that you are the one being bullied is beyond me. Being civil is not the same as bowing to your wishes. ;)

MrMark, Quatermass, Alex-- all in their early 20s. Be very careful.

Shut up, Ana54.

And Postperson, you are over-reacting. Calm down.

I'd calm down. You're obviously in the mods' sights, and so you'd do best to leave things and approach the issue more subtly at a later date.

Four people who posted in that thread are in my sights. Ana54, Postperson, Who_Am_I, and Kalister1. I did not touch those threads, as I only got onto WP at about 10:50 am today. However, they were becoming flaming matches, and while Ana54's ill-concieved starting post was the start of them, the actions of Postperson on one side, and Ana54, Who_Am_I and Kalister1 on the other were abhorrent.

Are you my boss? NO. So don't tell me how to do my work as a mod here. If you have a complaint, contact a mod by PM. But no, you had to let it escalate. And add fuel to the fire. Now who is worse, a firestarter, or someone who actually throws petrol into the fire?

Are you impugning my impartiality?

Are you?

You may be older, but does that necessarily make you wiser?

I understand the level of trolling and antisocial behaviour here is distressing for a mod, because it becomes something you have to take action about.

"I did not touch those threads, as I only got onto WP at about 10:50 am today. However, they were becoming flaming matches"

...so can we find out who did touch those threads. I only know that one of them was being flamed. The Nutjobs II thread seemed civil the last time I saw it. I can't see any reason to lock the Sociopaths/bullies thread, there's certainly nothing contentious there.

It is my understanding that this thread was locked pending further investigation, based on a private complaint. We are discussing unlocking it.

We had been watching the Nutjobs thread from the first post onward, aware that such an inflammatory opening post might lead to an exchange of personal attacks. We let it continue anyhow, to give you the benefit of the doubt. It was pulled due to the fact that it ended up containing multiple personal insults and very little legitimate content. The situation continued to escalate even after mod intervention.

As for the second Nutjobs thread, I never saw it, but I'll support the individual who decided to remove it. It seems reasonable to expect that the author of a pulled thread should not immediately attempt to reproduce a discussion of that nature.

That's it? Postperson said that the Nutjobs II thread had been removed.
