It's been noticed. But those sorts of hands are usually best not played in public, for a variety reasons; I have told the current mods my suspicions on it. Remember that action requires proof, not just suspicion, and that can take a while for a mod team to gather.

When I was a mod many members would send me pm's with their suspicions and some had incredible abilities to spot the re-incarnations. I always took it seriously, and was extremely grateful for the extra eyes and instincts.

Aww, well how malicious of you. I guess thats for me saying i'm glad you retired as a mod. With me saying that, I didn't mean I knew you as a mod. Its just very evident in the way you acted in the other thread, that you couldn't have been a very good mod.

Actually, I would prefer it to be epilogue than prologue, but whatever will be, will be.

Up yours with an egg beater. DW_a_mom was a better and harder working mod than I ever was. Not that people like you give a flying one, regardless of whether or not you are a troll/sockpuppet.

Thats just your opinion. My opinion is mod's should stay neutral. Especially on a site for people on the spectrum. I don't know if she did or not, but from what i've seen, its hard to believe.

Excuse me? Your opinion on her seems to be based, assuming that you are not a troll or sockpuppet, on just under two months of observation. I have worked for her for over a year. My opinion of her abilities and qualities as a moderator would surely be much better grounded in reality than your opinion. And what experience, pray, do you have as a moderator? I'm willing to bet that it is SFA.

Our decisions were never made lightly. We did not ban until it was completely necessary. Any sockpuppets of banned members were, and should still be, banned upon discovery and confirmation. Because banning should be forever. Those who get banned had their chances, but they abused them.

My suggestion to you, if you do not know what you're talking about, is to cease and desist. All you are succeeding in doing is attracting the wrong kind of attention to yourself.

@murphycop: I think DW_a_mom knows mods do not come out here and talk about anything any *other* mod might have said behind the curtain, but I can pretty well guess you were not in any way singled out and that no decision or consensus or whatever to take any action in relation to you had ever been made or you would have long ago known about that. So, it really would be best to just let all of that drop ... and then now maybe both of us might eventually slide to the bottom of any kind of watch list they might have back there.

I would never have banned based on suspicion, and would hope no current mod does, didn't I say that? But you do have a habit of posting as if you feel you "knew" me, and weren't happy about it, which does make one wonder ...

Sorry, I should have kept my mouth shut, you are absolutely right. In the interest of making Blue Bean feel listened to or less alone I spoke more than I should have about you, and innocence should be assumed unless there is something more than suspicion involved. Fair?

You registered here last year. How do you know about what happened 4-5 years ago?

Just curious.

Was I on the site 4 years ago? Like posting and active? I really don't think so.
Am I moaning now? I don't think so.
Are you making any sense....ahhh..now here is a question we can answer categorically.

the understanding of how anyone could desire to be a moderator defies me.

i read about 8% of what scrolls past my eye as i "mouse wheel" my way through my intermittent visits to WP.
there are only a few members who i stop to read posts by, and i would find it excruciatingly tedious to have to read everything posted everywhere. i would find it impossible to develop a judgment of the efficacy of any thread let alone impose it.

During my A.A. days, some people enjoyed chairing meetings and some did not, and each had his or her own reasons. Many years ago, I met a janitor who claimed he actually enjoyed cleaning toilets ... and like you, that was virtually impossible for me to comprehend.

For myself, lightly perusing the boards as a mod was a fairly simple task that did not take long at all, and especially once you get your own "feel" for things. I would first "View your (my) own posts" to keep up with previous discussions, including mod discussions behind the curtain, and then I would "View posts since last visit" to scan indexes for spam, and to also quickly look through new discussions and/or any older ones where trouble might have already been brewing. In some cases, it was easy to know there was no need to go read things posted since last time because the presence of a "last post" from one in-good-standing member or another let me know all was well within a given discussion. In comparison, I think some people might think mods are merely like firemen polishing brass while subscribed to certain threads while waiting for a bell to go off somewhere, but the "beat cop" glancing in windows and occasionally rattling a door was my own style.

what are "A.A" days? are they alcoholics anonymous days?

i never mentioned "janitors" or "toilets". i never did meet a janitor who cleaned any toilets, so i have no idea what i would think of them if i did meet one.

i do not get "feels" for things unless i understand them. i can not "lightly peruse". i either read every word carefully or i ignore the whole post.

too much work for me. i know almost nothing of the social dynamics of this site, and that is because i find it too hard to ponder. most people here have a more deep personality than i do, and so i am at a loss as to where people are "coming from" when they say what they say (i do understand sometimes however)

you have some knowledge that i do not. i am surviving without it.
i can not see where anyone is coming from and so i do not ever feel connected with anyone.
i could not even try to assess whether the flow of a thread is failing, and i would much less be inclined to control the flow of a thread from a standpoint of obliviousness.

i will soon think of the harmonic structure of a song that is titled "thank god i'm not a mod".

but i will think of it after i sleep. no need to reply. i just talk because it seeps out of me.

Same here, but the most obvious rule violations where one person attacks another are usually noticed by all and a mod is simply like a referee stepping in-between and sending them to their corners for a rest.

If you read the thread, a few people mention 2007.

2007 is really that long ago? Time flies like an SR-71 I suppose.
