Am I the only who thinks a "what if [insert alternate timeline]?" subforum?

examples: "What if the French won the seven years war?"

"What if nuclear technology was never invented?"

Topic lists don't currently display the date of the original post. You can only see when the last post was made. Can we please see when a thread was started without having to click on the post?

Why are you making blank posts?

I'd like to see a switch from Flash YouTube embeds to HTML5 ones. Flash support is lacking on a lot of devices, and I personally don't like having it installed since it's yet another vector for malware.

Could the Captchas be made numerical-only? I can read the numbers easily enough, but the distorted words are difficult for these nearly 60 year old eyes to make out.

Yes, I can keep hitting the recycle button until an image comes up that I can read; but isn't it enough of a "Turing Test" to be able to read numbers in a blurry image?

I think you’ve got to road test it before you make out a normal much longer captcha…under pre meditated ..litigation. Maybe eye tests are needed…maybe…maybe...long drawn out closures for your free bus pass before it arrives in the mail… if Santa got stuck in the chimney last year..
