It would be nice if you could mark certain threads as favourites to find them again easily instead of searching for them when they get buried.

That's what the "bookmark topic" link at the top of every thread is for, though I think it could be better emphasized. It's also somewhat hard to find where the bookmarked links are kept.

It's been said, but i think it would be nice to have a women only women's section and a men only men's (and a trans just for trans?). The whole notion that there's a section to discuss gender specific issues with males/females/non-trans reading and inserting their thoughts is pointless..that is what all of the other sections are for.

It would be nice to have a civil section. You can discuss anything in it, but no bickering, name calling, attacks, condescension, etc etc. If you can't have a civil conversation on whatever the topic is, then you're kicked out- but you're free to use the rest of the forum which lately reads like a f**k you b***h f**k you too i know you are but what am i fest.

You're beating a dead horse there fireflies. That topic is has well and truly been gone over. I tried believe me. It hinges on these two points:

1. It is simply not possible to provide that experience, and it is not up to WP to provide that kind of service. Why not use the many other sites set up for the purpose?
2. Sections are added on popularity. Although the women's section isn't exactly raining threads, more male orientated threads need to be made to warrant a section. This is direct from alex.

There is already a no bickering section like that it, is called the haven.

- custom ranks
- list of who's online
- list of today's top posters
- chat room

Some of these are features I know WP used to have but no longer does.

Increase the amount of charactors allowed for the subject line. I find trying to artificially shorten the subject to fit the limitations gives the potential reader only partial information or misleading information as to what my thread is intended to be about. This issue I believe is enhanced by the fact that many of the readers are literal minded.

I know one solution to the women's forum issue. How about we move some of the inappropriate threads into PPR. A lot of them belong there and it won't be censorship.

QFP

If you add people to your friends list, then they do show up as being online on your profile, though some people, such as myself have hidden that

Options to what subforums a person wants to see would be nice. It was implemented in the past that only women could see Womens Discussion and it still is implemented that only people over 18 can see the adult forum. Why not just have it under settings what subforums a person chooses to see for all the rest. That way people who don't want to see Off the Wall or PPR can hide it from view.

  :?: When anyone starts suggesting an idea, it either gets postponed, backed up, or not taken up at all.

On a lighter note, some use of tact can be used at times for not only site benefits, but for people trying to structure a routine, whether on a tight schedule or budget manifesto..

It's safe to say the GAD board has been compromised.

Is there any way to prevent spammers? Say like, maybe an algorithm like requiring people post say..5 messages elsewhere before they can post in GAD? Or have a creation date that is at least a week old?

A way to see who posted in a particular thread and how many times.

Alternative colour schemes. Some days I'm fine with the current one, but some days, it's far too bright for me. Current scheme seems good for clarity, but bad for light sensitivity.

Look, the CAPTCHA is a PROBLEM.

I understand bugs, and the need to prevent robospam, but it's ridiculous. No other CAPTCHA on any other board or blog I visit behaves like this. Sometimes it's endless, sometimes it eats your post, sometimes you can get it back and sometimes you can't, sometimes it kicks you out entirely.

If a buck-toothed NT farmer from Missouri can figure it out, surely the redoubtable folks here can.

If anyone still cares.
