I find the the shade of green is very intimidating on my eyes, posts are less easy to read, very distracting.
I'll bear with it though, hopefully those green linky's wont be a permanant or regular feature on here.

EDIT : The links are now blue 8O , easier to read posts & better on my eyesight I suppose :)

I use Safari, I followed blue_bean's advice and they don't appear anymore. As a reminder, this advice was

If you let one of the little boxes appear when hovering over the links, click on the "?" at the bottom and that will take you to an info page. The opt out link is near the bottom. Click on that and it returns you to a WP free of stoopid green links.

I agree with cornflake that they are extremely annoying. As fas as I'm concerned, they had the adverse effect : when I saw a link lead to XXX Ltd. it gave me the motivation NOT to buy anything from XXX who don't respect people by being so intrusive. Now I don't give a damn, thanks to blue_bean's advice.

I also agree with hyperlexian :

*cough* really? i disagree with that on a fundamental level.
I find that businessmen abuse : they invade us right into our homes. I am doing a work for a university, I search for information on a site and pop : an add blocks the view. How would they react if we popped in their offices, factories and CA meetings selling them our junk? The only limits that businessmen and marketeers respect are those that are penalized ; morals, ethics and private life mean nothing to them. The only (and I DO mean "only") concept they value is maximum unlimited profit.

I never said it was anything other than my opinion.

it's fairly straight forward to disable them (unless you're on a touch-based device, then you're out of luck - then again you're significantly less likely to be affected by them on a touch-based device anyway so...)

Just so people know, even if you're on a touch-based device, you can still get rid of them using the method blue_bean mentioned. It's a little bit of a pain though. Leave your finger on the link for a few seconds, then lift. In the second or so before the link opens you'll see the box she mentioned with the little question mark. Click on that, be sure to be quick about it, and you'll be taken to the page that lets you disable them.

Well that was interesting. Here I was thinking WP was down because I couldn't get past the cloudfare page for almost one hour. Turns out I had to unblock cloudfare with my NoScript.

Just a heads up to people :P

A page that comes up when WP is having server issues. Don't worry, you'll see it yourself eventually.

Yes. I've seen it on other fora.

Sorry for the question : English is still a foreign language to me...
