Personally I prefer reports to be made, given the choppy status of thread update alerts.
It seems to be blind luck that they've been functional lately for this thread (even if I'm a bit late in responding).

Sometimes jokes can backfire or comments can be misunderstood, and people get upset.
I'll have a look at the events leading to this.

I've been assured ISPs would not be contacted.

And I admit that would be a sloppy thing to do.
