Breaches WP rules.

Request change of title from “Israel Hamas War Blowback On American, European Jews” to “Mideast War blowback” as some Muslims are getting attacks and other parties besides Israel and Hamas are firing weapons in anger.

Right am I going mad or are some of the forums not updating properly.

Like on the home page for example on the L&D option it says goldfish21 at 6:16 but then when you go into L&D forum there is another post above that and it's time was 10:32 yesterday by knowingtheautist. There's a similar thing happened on The Haven I think.

I mean ultimately I don't suppose it's a major issue but I couldn't work out if this was normal and I'd only just noticed it happening.

It seems to be a combination of sloppy coding and bumped threads.

The discrepancy occurs because the local forum index treats knowingtheautist's earlier post as a new post (the outcome of bumping), but the home page index doesn't do the same thing and instead, shows goldfish21's post as the newest.

Physically, his is the newest; bumped threads just have their date/time changed to push them up the forum index but evidently, a post's position in a time-sorted list can depend on which index is being viewed - the local forum index, or the global home page index.

So no, you're not going mad - but you might be after reading that.

It was my mistake in responding, but I'd like all of the off topic responses in this thread removed please, it wasn't intended to be a deep dive into political violence and who commits more of it, but rather a discussion of a specific news story. I still think this rule that the OP gets to arbitrarily limit responses in threads they start isn't great, but since it's the rule and I've been on the receiving end of it enough times, might as well use it myself.
