Wow! 8O

WrongPlanet is still in operation! 8O 8O

No lawsuits have been filed ... no restraining orders have been issued ... neither have any "Cease & Desist" orders ... there is nothing in the popular media ... even "Autism Speaks" is mum about any legal action against WrongPlanet ...

I call Bovine Sludge on Messygeek's claims!

now, now, he can't respond on advice of legal council.
Of course he has already responded before he obtained legal council, but now he can't respond. But if he could respond he would respond, but he can't, so he won't.
so be nice.

Maybe alex's lawyer used the Asperger's defense.

"Your Honor, my client has Asperger's Syndrome, so he isn't capable of..."

2. Personal attacks.
This includes insinuation, ridicule and personal insults, regardless of whether direct or indirect. Attacking an opinion, belief or philosophy is acceptable, but attacking the person making the comments is not. behavior intended to provoke or belittle other members; anything else that purposely causes conflict with other members.

Yes, even Zach.

Could I have a clarification on this please? Can we draw a conclusion about another member based on their posts?

For example: would it be acceptable to point out that Messygeek is apparently not very smart baised upon the facts that he stated in his article that he wanted that incident to be discussed by the autistic community, then hijacked his own thread to make this ridiculous allegation, then demanded that the thread that was discussing it be taken down?

you may draw what ever conclusions you care to. as long as you don't attack the person (xxxxxx's actions are not very smart vs xxxxx is not very smart )

Perhaps this thread should be locked? It's not serving any purpose at this point, and tempers are seeming to run a bit high.

Also, I note that the old "banned" status, complete with the red X avatar, has been revived. I personally find that visible notifier helpful.

well, not really sure about this, but I don't think the red X thing is revived, my guess is that it has always been, and is shown only when Alex bans a member not when a mod does it, bare in mind that's just a guess.

Interesting guess. I hope a mod confirms or denies these suspicions, because I've always wondered why some banned members got the special status and red X and some didn't.
