Are photographs (or Photoshop works) considered art, and if so, can you display them in the art forum, or could you start a Photoshop/photography contest?

I consider them art.

As long as there aren't copywrite issues, i think a thread would be great.

Hmm... I would say to go ahead and post them. Just be careful because of any copyright issues that may occur, like BeeBee said. And also, be sure not to post huge pictures or anything like that. Maybe posting a thumbnail (avatar size) and a link to the site to see the large photos would be good. :)

Most people I know consider Photoshop to be a form of digital art. It's very different from hand-drawn art, but it still counts as art.
