Banned from the chat room?

Hi-- I've been in the chat room a few times, but I've never posted anything objectionable or been told that I did. I log in using the Java applet, which gives me an Anon name, which I then change to my regular name. But today, when I tried to log in, it told me I was banned from #wrongplanet.

Is this a mistake, or did I do something wrong without knowing it?

DaWalker can't get on either, and he has never been on it, but it says he is 'banned'.
WP mods have nothing to do with WP chat, it is a different situation altogether.

Thanks-- It's at least good to know I didn't inadvertently break an unwritten rule! Aspies tend to get nervous about that! (or at least I do)

I can't connect to IRC either. I have tried changing my IP address, using different clients and even restarting my computer so I can log into Windows. All have failed. Was I also banned? I only got banned from one channel because of a stupid Op.

To bicentennialman: with your nick, or your IP (PLEASE don't post that publicly, but I do have PMs) I can look into it and see what's going on. If you've never been kicked or banned what's most likely is that you got stuck in someone else's IP range. People do get warning before they get ban-hammered.

To RaceDrv709: If you got banned, and knew you got banned, well. Uh. You did something. *shrug*. Insulting ops (and I've no idea who you are, and therefore no idea who you're insulting) doesn't undo that. Most chat bans are temporary except in grievous circumstances.

I tried logging int the chatroom and all it said was that I was disconnected from the chatroom. It didn't say anything about be being banned. I just know I wasn'tbanned.I have never angered an OP except on that one channel when a dissagreement went way out of hand.
